So last night while surfing some tech blogs i found this:

Rogue: In-Game Web Browser Gmaildragon

Rogue, a web browser that u can open in game Very Happy

It lets you check out guildwiki, or youtube and still play in beautiful full screen. You can adjust the transperancy level to whatever you're comfortable with, and you can switch from the game to the browser controls just by hitting F11.

You can grab it here, lemme know how it works out for ya.

Rogue: In-Game Web Browser Empty Re: Rogue: In-Game Web Browser

Well I tried it out and it's a no go for me. The way you're supposed to run it is to first start up the Rogue browser, then start up any of the games it supports. Then you hit F12 to hide/display the browser and F11 to change the active window. Installed and ran fine, but when I opened up Guild Wars, my computer just locked up. I'm not sure if this is just a problem on my end, though, since the website lists Guild Wars as a supported game.

Anyone else having any luck with this thing?

I tried this one out a while ago and like Franc I had a lot of problems. It would work fine for a while but was prone to causing lock ups and crashes. Last night I saw something on GuildWiki about a program called XFire. Has an in-game browser that seems to run much smoother than Rogue (for me anyways). It also has clan/guild support and chat so that you can keep in touch with others even if their currently playing a different game.

There's also screen shot and video capture capabilities which allow you to post them to your user profile for friends/others to see. Seems like it supports a huge number of PC games as well, the list on their website is massive.

I haven't had a chance to fiddle around with it much yet other than the in-game web browser but it seems like a nifty little tool/program.

Is anyone else running Xfire?

Oh and guess I should throw in a link here too in case anyone wants to check it out. Here is the link to the page I from GuildWiki. There's a link to XFire's website on the wiki page as well.
