Taking a Break from Gaming
Hey all,
I know I just joined the guild, but I'm going to have to go inactive for a while. My wife and I just signed an agreement to purchase a home here in Raleigh.
To make that happen, we've canceled our home internet service so we can save that cash every month toward closing costs. We'll probably need to keep things that way to afford the increased house payment for a while. (Until she get her job - after taking the Bar Exam).
When we get through everything, I might come back to Guild Wars. If so - I'll talk to TCK first.
Thanks,
Richard (Auron of Esgaroth)

Re: Taking a Break from Gaming
Richard,
Congratulations n your new home! I'm glad to hear you guys are actively managing your budget, and I hope that some time in the future you will be able to return to TCK and get to know us a bit better.
Give your wife my best wishes and tell her good luck on her Bar Exam. It's not the end of the world if she doesn't get past it the first time. I know a couple who took it multiple times to get past it.. its a fact of life that its a rough exam, still.. all the luck on that.
Keep in touch on the boards when you can,
Your friends in TCK.

Will Miss you!
Congratulations on the purchase of your home! Even though you are not able to play, you will always be welcome in the Guild. You have been overly generous, and if you do decide to get internet, you will be embraced back as a guildee. We decided to save your chunk of change. You might be poor in your new home, but you'll not be too poor in the guild. Take care!
Regards,
Lady H (aka Ann)

Re: Taking a Break from Gaming
For those of you who were online Sunday afternoon - you saw me broadcast on the guild chat that I'm letting my little brother use my account for a while.
He's new to GW but has some friends that have played before. I gave him a quick intro to the game and deleted my mesmer and ranger to make room for him to do some character creation. He's alot like me so I expect that he'll use my warrior too.
I'll let him do his own introductions. I'm going to be out of the game for a while so if you see my account active - just know that he's the one playing.
The one thing I will say about him - he's a high-school senior and is pretty high in class-rank (GPA). Expect him to be a quick study in-game too.
I'll write again here before I come back to the game.
Thanks all,
Richard (Auron)

Re: Taking a Break from Gaming
Trust me, we will take good care of him! If his personality is anything like yours, it will be a pleasure having him. Hopefully he will sign up on the forum so that we know a little more about him, but you gotta tell him not to be shy. If he needs any help he can yell for it at anytime. Otheriwise, I am sure one of us will make sure he is not neglected.
Take Care and come on by anytime....here or in the game!
