DoA Team Guide, with Heroes Empty DoA Team Guide, with Heroes

Found a great guide to clearing the elite NF zone Domain of Anguish with or without heroes. If going with heroes, a minimum of 3 players are still required to run specific tasks if the group plans to be effective. Using builds found in these guides, it seems an average run is taking around 2-2.5 hours for a full clear, which is quite fast.

Original Guide: http://www.my-digital-portal.com/gwmojo/forum/viewtopic.php?t=94

PvXWiki Team Build: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_Doa_Heroway

If the classes fit and people don't mind using consumables, the PvX build is very simple and effective to use, with some possible small changes.

I personally would love to do some DoA runs and have several characters in a position that they could run with this team. Tormented weapons call me, as do the possibility of Eternal weapons and shields that are inscribable. :p

Found a thread with more good build suggestions.

Has some other suggested Warrior and Sin builds for the frontline.

I'd love to start getting in on that action.

But I'm seeing a lot more player builds than hero builds. Might be time for me to start up something else...I don't see a rit on the list. =)

There are 4 example Rit builds in the "Original Guide" link I posted: a Splinter Barrage, a Spirit Stength Volley, a OoS Pure Support, and a OoS Smite Support. I'll probably consolidate those links and make a few posts here with the info a bit later, to save people time by not having to dig around in the threads themselves.

If you came on a Rit, you'd be going in the place of one of the midline heroes though. We'd still need at least a human frontline, a human paragon, and ideally a human monk. We might be able to use a hero monk, but it'd be sketchy at best. In this team, the paragon needs to be kept clean of hexes and blind above all other party members or the party's defenses go to crap and there are a lot of things that hex and blind in DoA. Still, if we stack a lot of hex and condition removal it might work okay.

As an alternative, Discord-based teams can do pretty well for all of DoA aside from Mallyx based on what I've read. The Divert Hexes prot necro in my 6-hero discord team might be able to fit the condition/hex-cleaning bill.

By the way, I wasn't aware of how the chests in DoA worked. Apparently there are 4 chests, one in each area. All players get a Gemstone specific for that area when opening that chest. You need 15 of each Gemstone for Tormented weapons (total of 60 Gemstones). Thing is, you actually get an additional Gemstone per chest for each area you've cleared so far on the same run. In other words, if you do all of DoA in one run, you get 1 Gemstone from the first chest, 2 from the second, 3 from the third, and 4 from the fourth. You can also start DoA in any of the four areas, but you always have to go counter-clockwise.

What this means, is if we do multiple runs we can rotate where we start each time and end up with roughly the same number of Gemstones at the end of the 'rotation'. After 4 runs, we'd have 10 of each Gemstone just from the chests. Gemstones can be random drops in DoA as well, so the numbers might be a bit off.

In any case, it guarantees that every 6 runs each member of the group can get a Tormented weapon (though you might have to exchange some Gemstones to get the right combo of 15 each). Six runs is roughly 12-15 hours of work (once we get good at it) and Tormented weapons cost around 300k normally. This comes out to 20-25k per hour 'profit', just from the Tormented weapon and not including drops. Personally, I'd be keeping my Tormented weapons, but even if you don't want one, you could sell it for a nice profit. I don't know about you, but 20-25k is considerably more than I make per hour farming normally. Also, I'd much rather spend that time doing something interesting like an elite zone instead of mindlessly repeating the same farm every couple of minutes. :p

What I meant to say was: I'd love to bring my rit, but really the builds required by humans to play would be frontliner or monk, and I have neither.

Push to shove I could help fill the role of antihex/condition on the Para. By the time we get this boat launched, I should have most Elites (I'll start up on Monk now).

And Hodr is r10 Lightbringer. Teehee.
