TexMod tool and mapping
I have heard several people asking about mapping. So I thought I would make it easy for everyone.
This link is to download TexMod:
http://www.tombraiderhub.com/tr7/modding/texmod/download/texmod.zip
I use the Cartography Made Easy which is the second one down on the list found here:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_modifying_in-game_graphics/Player_made_modifications/UI_enhancements
This is approved by Guild Wars.

Re: TexMod tool and mapping
I've used TexMod for mapping before and it works great. However, be careful about other version of Texmod. At one time or another people have distributed infected versions of Texmod. I'm not sure about that link since I got mine from a friend.
The official wiki has the checksum of a safe copy of "texmod.zip" in case you're worried, which is: 2291f3095f14efb847d366e2fbe4be51.
(edit: The link Para posted has the same checksum; it's safe).
I wouldn't say it's exactly "approved" by ANet. They don't care if you use it, but once you start using Third Party programs such as this, you're on your own. If anything bad happens, ANet will not help you with it.
From the wiki:
Other than that, if you can get a clean and working copy of TexMod, it makes mapping a lot easier. Here's an example of how it would work:
Black areas are places you can't get to or don't need for the title. Shaded areas are places you've yet to discover. The normal areas are places you've explored.
I highly suggest using this for anyone going for the Cartographer title if they don't want to start pulling their hair out getting their last 0.01%

From the wiki:
Warning: Directly modifying the Guild Wars program files through any third party tools is completely unsupported by ArenaNet and NCSoft. If anything breaks, do not contact support for help; there's nothing they can do about it. Also, third party programs not supported by ArenaNet might contain trojans, spyware, adware, and other harmful programs.
