Re: Job Hunting
Cartoonist:
Offsite Cartoonist
We are looking for a cartoonist who can draw roughly 15-20 black and white cartoons for a book about decision making for college students.
While we are open to how the cartoons will look and some creativity in coming up with new ones will be needed, we would like them to all feature the same characters (possibly one or two primary characters, with others who would appear in some cartoons but not others), and we also have concepts for many of the cartoons we would like.
We are offering a flat-rate of $50 per cartoon, and all rights for the cartoons would transfer to us.
You would be mentioned in the beginning of the book as having drawn the cartoons, but you would not be provided a space on the cover.
We are looking for one cartoonist who can do all of the cartoons in the book to ensure continuity, so please don't contact us if you are only willing to complete fewer than the 15-20 we would need.
This project will end with completion of the needed cartoons, but there is a chance that we would re-hire you for one of the dozen other projects we are involved in and will become involved in.
We are looking to have all cartoons completed by a rough completion date of the end of September, so it's pretty expedited, but if the right person is found, we could be flexible by a little.
Cartoonist should have the ability to scan cartoons and email them, as well as to send the final versions in original format to our office in Addison.
This is a great opportunity for a student to increase your publication and skills.
If you are interested, please email Chris McGrath at cmcgrath@decidebetter.com with one or more sample cartoons.

Telecommute Business/Tech Satire Writer
Are you good at making up fake news?
Do you think jokes about balance sheets are funny?
Are you desperately in need of money and thus are willing to google "balance sheet" so that you can figure out what the hell that is and make a joke about it?
If so, then consider writing for us.
Capitalist Banter is best described as "The Onion" meets "The Wall Street Journal." If you want to poke fun at the Fed, the Economy, Silicon Valley, Web 2.0, CEOs, Stocks, Jim Cramer, or even something as esoteric as FASB, we want you to write for us.
Have you written satire before? We don't really care, as long as you can write it now. Check out www.capitalistbanter.com, and let us know if you think you can do better.
Writers start at $15 per article, with a $100 traffic bonus for the most popular article each month.
You need to be able to contribute a minimum of 2 posts per month, but can contribute up to 2 posts a week if you have the time and enough funny stuff to say.
Don't send us a resume, send us an article! Write something for Capitalist Banter and email it to writers-at-capitalistbanter.com. If we like it, we will publish it. If our readers like it, you are hired.
