Forum Updates
Aside from the officers and a couple of members the forums just aren't being used as much as they could be. Most members will just post once in the introduction thread and then disappear (I'm guilty of this myself ).
So, to try and encourage more members to use the forums, we'll be make some changes over the next couple days. Several forums will be condensed to make things easier to navigate and find what you're looking for. None of the old posts will be deleted, but they might not be where you remember.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for the forums, let us know in here.

Re: Forum Updates
Yes! I love this! I honestly only check the scrolling bar on the main page, and leave it at that. These forums scare me with all the subforums and single posts and bears and killer cacti....
Right okay, if I were in charge, I'd remake em like this:
1. Game Talk - want to do something ingame together? Missions or Quests or Events or Runs or Farm? Post here
a. GW Primer Guides and Discussion - want to learn how to play or share learning? post here
b. Alliance Events/Meetings/Need to Know type stuff - meeting or event coming up? post here
2. Non Game Talk - intros, general non game related talk
a. Applications - i want to play with yall
b. Fan Fiction - James.
This way all talk about skills, gameplay stuff like that is limited to one forum with a couple subforums.
All non game talk and discussion is separate. All guests and non members can read the non game talk, registered guildies (not registered forum members, registered guild members) can read game talk.
And remember not everything needs to fit into one subforum, specific things will be easier to find, but general info is fine for the main forums. If there comes to be a huge mess of one type of post in the forums, create a subforum and move that type of post out.
Instead of creating a giant tree of forums in order to fill into, create a small tree that can grow later, ydig?

Re: Forum Updates
No suggestions----just a remark.
I make an occasional post but find it hard to navigate so limit my post to replies.

Re: Forum Updates
we will try to work things out how to make the forum easier to navigate the forums
we will see if there are forums which can be make into one forums instead of sub-forums
To Scion: I agree, it is kind of scary seeing so many blanks
To Xanthos: Just try to check the forum daily just think of it as surfing the net if you can think of anything fun to post on the forum please do so might make more members to come reading the forums
To Di: it's kind of hard seeing not many people keep on posting. It's just that not people members from the guild keep checking the forums
I will try to make some event which has to do with the forums and try to get it going
but I have to start it when I am free

Re: Forum Updates
Alright the first pass through the forums is done! We still need to move some threads to the right places and fix some stickies but
we're down to 8 forums and sub-forums from the old count of 24.
Scion: Nice to see that we were on the same page! i was planning on almost the exact same list of forums but the suggestions for the sub-forums is a nice touch, makes everything much cleaner, thanks
Jay: My problem is that I'm a lurker at heart. It's a hard habit to break but I'm trying

Re: Forum Updates
Great job cleaning up the forums, Thanks for the work you put in!
Let me look around a bit more and maybe I will have some other ideas.. but for now I'm happy to see things consolidated.

Re: Forum Updates
Xanthos...
Just went on the forum. It looks good. Could you make sure that people do not have to log in to see the portal. It is good for recruiting purposes when it looks a little like a web page. i'll peruse it a bit and see if there is anything else that strikes my fancy.
Thanks for your help!
