Holy Smokes
2nd night in a row we got lightning storms brewing all around. Fun living in high desert. I logged in but everything flickered so I had to bail. I'll try to see you guys later tonight I guess.

Re: Holy Smokes
Wow that was some storm series last night. An unstable air mass is gonna trigger these for the next several days. Makes for some gorgeous light shows at night.
It was hilarious last night when the poor dog was in the middle of doing her business and the skies opened. She was so drenched by the time she made it back into the house....looked like a bucket of water had been thrown over her.
Can't wait to see how many wildfires this triggers for our area. Tis the season.

Re: Holy Smokes
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
MUCH LIKE YESTERDAY...MOISTURE REMAINS WELL ABOVE NORMAL ACROSS THE REGION
TODAY. AS THE ATMOSPHERE DESTABILIZES THIS AFTERNOON...EXPECT
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP NEAR THE SOUTHERN CASCADES
AND SISKIYOU MOUNTAINS THEN MEANDER NORTHWARD OVER THE ROGUE
VALLEY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
ARE ALSO EXPECTED OVER THE EAST SIDE.
RELATIVELY LIGHT SOUTHERLY WINDS ALOFT WILL CAUSE SLOW-MOVING
STORMS WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAINFALL. SOME OF THE STRONGER
STORMS WILL CONTAIN SMALL HAIL AND WIND GUSTS OF 40-50 MPH THROUGH
THIS EVENING. THE STORMS WILL DISSIPATE SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
MOIST, UNSTABLE AIR WILL CONTINUE TO RIDE NORTHWARD INTO THE AREA
THIS COMING WEEK AS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE PINWHEELS TOWARD THE
CENTRAL COAST OF CALIFORNIA. THIS WILL KEEP THE THREAT FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHERN OREGON,
ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS.
This is our local weather outlook for the next week. More of the same nonsense. Seems everytime I make time to get on in the afternoon another one of these storms pops up. It is quite the site.....and when the wind comes...its like tropical storm season back east in Virginia. Ann is complaining a bunch since it is so muggy and I was supposed to be grilling on the barbq as I type this but we got another cell over head right now so dinner is postponed too.
Sigh, see you when I see you.
