Can anyone tell me or guess how I can reveal the areas indicated on the image? I am at 98.5 on my Canthan cartography. Any assistance or opinions will be appreciated.

PS I hope I added the photo correctly.

The one next to Zos is the competitive mission, you just have to enter the mission and run around.

And the one by Gyala you can't. I have 100% cart and I don't have it. Your mod is wrong.

Vizunah Square (Local Quarter), did you have any luck getting there last night with your second account. I know wiki says foreign characters need to be dragged there with a local toon during the Mayhem in the Marketplace quest, may be able to get there just tagging along thru the undercity with anyone that has it opened up?

Either way if you go to AED 1 of The Marketplace district there is almost always a few people looking for help with that mission. That'd probably be the easiest way to get to the outpost and open up that part of the map.

I didn't use any mod, as I did my carts many years ago. Smile

That is Vizunah Square (Local). There use to be a way to have both on your map, and there may still be but, it doesn't matter cause when you get VS(Foreign) you also get (Local) cart wise. Most everything from the portal to the left is VS(L) everything else you can't get. You maybe able to get some of the stuff to the direct right of the portal through the mission, but it's going to be less than .1% if that much, and you have some leeway with that title.

Trytan:
I tried tagging along with a local player through the Undercity but the gate to the square was closed when we got there. I will try the mission today. My Rit should be there within an hour or two and I will play both computers to see if I can drag the warrior along

Vane:
My hat is off to you if you did the title with no mods, wow what an ordeal! I will try the local side of the square because I don't know what else to do. I still need .7% to complete the title.

Thanks for all your help!!

Just opened the local qtr of Vizunah Square to achieve .1% more, I am now at 99.4. Texmod shows some unmapped areas but I cant seem to clear them. I think I will give it a rest. Try to put together a team for HM missions, need most of them in all three chapters. Maybe work on vanquishing, might scrape some walls that way,

Thanks for everyone's help. I will let you know when I stumble onto the missing .6%.

UNDER CITY DOES NOT COUNT AS PART OF IT. there is a spot that mooshie showed me that can get you another 0.4%. You may have to wait until another event like the cantha festival to open the area where the games are. That adds another 0.1-0.2%

I have already mapped all of the festival area. While Googling for hints and clues I came across a way to access that area anytime using an Assassin skill. It was one of my small victories. By going to Linnok courtyrad with a hero and puitting your back to the entrance barrier to the Monastery and the use the hero as a target for Heart of Shadow it pushes you into the Monestary in a kind of Limbo status. You can walk thru all the gates without warping. I was able to map the festival/startup area using this method. You are the only one in the area, no foes, no players. It does have a limited physical area, if you enter Sunqua Vale you will run into the edge of the world before you get too far into it.

I had to try the move several times before it worked, sometimes the skill just moves you to the side, the trick is to get your heroe as close to the barrier and then get between him and the barrier before you use the skill on him.

I tried a couple of other areas but it did not get me any favorable results.

But I am interested in the area Moosh told you about.

Thanks for your help.

Ok, i am at 99.7%. I keep chipping away at it. All of your replies have helped immensely. I do not know if these areas are significant but I am still looking for ideas.

Thanks a million for your help.

You can access the bugged area that Moosh talked about in the same method you used to get to Linnok Courtyard.

Just map to Eredon Terrace and map out to the explorable outside and use Heart of Shadow while you're near the portal. It'll take a few tries but eventually you'll get inside the "town" without mapping. There is a gate up somewhere that would require your alliance to own the town to access but since you are in a bugged area, you can just walk right through it. While in this area, there's a way to get up on the hill and you should be able to map all of this area:

For further reference, there are other areas where you can access through Shadow Stepping through a portal:

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/End_of_the_world

Not all portals are shadow-steppable but I remember there being a page somewhere that documented the ones that were. That page should have some portals in Cantha, maybe enough to get you your last .3%

edit: Just found it:

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Portal_jumping_project

The "Xplor" column will have an X if it has no benefit for cartography and a check mark if it does. The Eredon Terrace one is stated to have a 0.5% benefit.
